Course Overview

Course is designed to familiarize the user with basic seismic data processing, flow building, parameter analysis, and implementation of 2D/3D processing tools. After completion of this course user will be able to understand Data Input, 2D/3D geometry definition, CDP binning, Refraction Statics Solution, reflection residual statics, Deconvolution, Noise Attenuation, Multiple Attenuation, Velocity analysis/modeling and stack data volume management. Stack and 2D/3D migration, output data in SEGY format.   

Day-1

Seismic acquisition and type of seismic sources Acquisition Quality Control (QC) Seismic Data Recording   Standard SEG-D  and SEG-Y tape format Reformat, Data Input, raw data QC 

Day-2

Geometry building Geometry application to trace data,  QC Attributes, Trace editing, First Break Picking Refraction Statics Solution 

Day-3

Noise Attenuation De-convolution, Parameter test Apply mute , True amplitude recovery Picking stacking velocities Velocity smoothing Interaction with volume viewer/editor 

Day-4

Multiple Attenuation, Residual Statics

NMO, Mute, Stack Post Stack Processing Filtering & Scaling Data prep for Migration 

Day-5

Post Stack Migration   

Pre Stack Migration   
Output/Deliverable SEG-Y Format
